Flashed my Pioneer DVD-115, now doesn't work

What have I done? I thought I would upgrade the firmware on my Pioneer DVD-115 from revision 1.27 to 1.33, because of a few nagging headaches it was giving me and now after a successful upgrade in DOS mode and having following the instructions to a T, Windows can no longer see it. However if I reboot into DOS, it works like a charm! What the...!

Does anyone have any suggestions. I know the drive is ok, but why won't Windows XP see it. I tries the hardware wizard... nothing works. Simply does not exist!!!:(

Try uninstalling the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" in Device Manager, rebooting and letting WinXP redetect the drive. If that doesn't work, you may have to do an XP reinstallation. :(

Glad it worked. These PIO/DMA settings can be changed. Just click on the drop down arrow alongside the "PIO" entry, select "DMA if available", exit and reboot. That should sort you out. DMA is a better setting as it's faster.
