Thanks.
Ala42 or TDB. Do you think you could further mod this very file to remove rip lock?

As already said on the previous page, I can probably apply the same patch used for the 109 firmwares also on the 8.37 firmwares, but I have not checked this yet because I am busy with the Benq 1655 firmware. Implementing the patch is quite easy.
You are sure the 8.37 firmware has a riplock ?

* MAC users can cross flash the same firmware files using DVRFlash with undocumented -ff superforce switch
Features:
* DVD-RAM WRITING
* BITSETTING (automatically sets BOOKTYPE to DVD-ROM on DVD+R and DVD+R DL burns)
* RPC-1 (region free in hardware)

Fun and games are over folks

Let's all be happy now
Enjoy!

all I can say is Thank you!
PS: Why do you use "hidden" files?

[_chef_] wrote: PS: Why do you use "hidden" files? Because I can but seriously it is the power of batch files that can make TEMPORARY (or other ) files, so no separate readme etc. files are needed. Fewer files, less confusing for all Just run FLASH.BAT (WINALL) is very obvious I believe. MAC users need to get DVRFlash separately for their particular OS so a little more work for them sorry. Major thanks friend. Nothing is missing from the pioneer drives now except decent scanning but that is nothing the end user can change.
I greatly appreciate this.

And then... you will want Nx4ALL, QuietDrive etc. etc. etc.
Seems you cannot read properly. I first gave CLEAR instructions NOT to ask or PM me for RAR password, but you did regardless. Then you didn't even bother to read CLEAR info in FLASH.BAT about DVD+RW bitsetting.
Feel free to create your own patched firmware though
Bye!

Booktyping on DVD+RW to DVD-ROM doesn't make much sense at all!
It would just create more trouble and confusion.

Normal, you have to use -vff if you know what you are doing.
Is the drive connected to an 80wire IDE cable and running in UDMA4 mode??
I'd crossflash it first with the TDB 110 package to an 110 if nothing else works.
