Mh, and where should a firmware to patch come from then...?

Based on my guess is that your drive is based on a Panasonic chipset rather than a Renesas one, which means that there are no tools available to dump the firmware from your drive and therefore you'll have to wait until ASUS (I presume) or other OEM releases an update ...

If you want to be 100% sure this is the case, try using Flasher (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=46137) to dump the firmware. If it doesn't work (as I suspect it will be the case), then the drive uses a Panasonic chipset ... if it works then you're lucky to have a drive with a Renesas chipset, so dump the main and the core firmware using Flasher and post them in here ...
