Note: DH-6E2S is an iHES106 clone. The latest iHES106 AL0A firmware is dated 2009/01/08, so it is a year older than the 7D12. The official 7D12 flasher from Dell can be used to flash Dell OEM drives with ADxx firmware on board without any problems.

Very strange using "9.05", it looks like "1.05" in Kernel form with some changes (verification needed).
File: S1030490.905
******** Copyright(c) 2000 Pioneer Corporation ******** This is microcode file. ID : PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206 Revision Level : 9.05 Hardware Version : SAT 1030 Kernel Version : OEM_EXT Destination : OEM_EXT File Type : Kernel Generated Date : 11/01/12 Kernel Version2 : 0001
File: S1030491.905
******** Copyright(c) 2000 Pioneer Corporation ******** This is microcode file. ID : PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206 Revision Level : 9.05 Hardware Version : SAT 1030 Kernel Version : OEM_EXT Destination : OEM_EXT File Type : Normal Generated Date : 11/01/12 Kernel Version2 : 0001
So far I have managed to revert from/to ANY version.
Update
Looking at original v1.05: ******** Copyright(c) 2000 Pioneer Corporation ******** This is microcode file. ID : PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206 Revision Level : 1.05 Hardware Version : SAT 1030 Kernel Version : GENERAL Destination : GENERAL File Type : Kernel Generated Date : 11/01/12 Kernel Version2 : 0003
So "9.05" is indeed 1.05 with some little changes for Primera hardware.
Unfortunately this is not the real Kernel.
Both files have 68.5KB (original and so called "custom" by Primera).
It's a real pity, but Pioneer learned the lesson about "giving to users", even if is "HARD to get". I can only laugh, since AES protection had a backdoor (as every "security" system in this world), so the only real and very stupid purpose on protecting such FW is the region-lock-crap thing.
MFs (and the likes) have ways to just tampering it directly at IC level if they really want, they (Pioneer, etc) are only pleasing guys like MPA/MPAA, Hollywood, etc, etc. How I miss the Sinclair and BBS days!

Let me see if I'm reading that correctly ... when you say 'ANY version' you mean crossflashing in between ANY OEM versions? OK, as long there's a kernel for a given OEM version and DVRFlash support for that drive family, crossflashing shouldn't be a problem, but for the BDR-S06 ('Retail' BDR-206 with Kernel Version: ID43) for example there's no available kernel to allow a crossflash ... so unless you've found a new way to do it, that should not be (normally) possible? So far there are only two BDR-206 kernels available, namely GENERAL (BDR-206 fw1.0x) and OEM_EXT (BDR-206 fw9.0x), but there are no kernels available for the BDR-206D (Kernel ID58) and the 'Retail' BDR-206 version (Kernel ID43). If you've found a way to flash back and forth between all of these in spite kernel unavailability, that is one major achievement! Gradius wrote: Unfortunately this is not the real Kernel.
What exactly do you mean by that?
