Your issues have nothing to do with firmwares.
That is absolutely only software/driver related, because your drive can write cd and dvd!
If your drive cannot read and write dvds anymore than the dvd part of your drive is DEAD and you cannot fix that.

Also, you made a request and that belongs into "request firmware". Thread moved.

mmmm i dont think the dvd part of my drive is dead cause i can read dvds, the problem is cant read blank dvd and in consecuence write dvs, and the disk info report the drivers is good, or it dont test the drive?

Also i read on internet, Microsoft and other softwares companies, are changing and modifing firmwares of few hardwares without concerns ar advice to the owners of those hardwares, when you install the updates for windows or install others softwares related to those hardwares, thats why i ask for help in this page.

And i make a request for help, => "I read something abaut firmware and finding few hours in the net here i am asking for help"
IDK if it is a firmware issue or not, thats why i post in the other part of the forum and not in the firmware section.

And i must agree with you this must be windows registry problem, or something like that, i need some help , i cant reinstall the windows in that laptop cause the inverter of the screen is dead and it only swap to the secondary monitor when windows start, and the preinstalled recovery funtion is in the bios mode there i cant swap to the secondary video :(.

In this case, probably only a live system cd/dvd could give you the health info about your drive capabilities.

Have you tried that already?
