I look up the version of my drive on Lite-On site which is the DH-401S w/o DVD-RAM capabilities which would be firmware version CP56, it makes sense because my current firmware version is CP54. Basically my drive won't read any new discs, I'm talking Kung Fu Panda, Wall-E and the likes. I was able to successfully read and rip I, Robot and I Am Legend which I believe both came out around 3/08, so I know the drive works. When I try to run the firmware upgrade nothing happens, but it's strange because when I open the task list I see the firmware running.
I did read something somewhere that said the way the Blu-Ray discs are written was changes recently or something like that which is probably why my drive won't read anything that is newly released which would lead to Lite-On issuing a firmware update to the drive.
I am running Windows Vista 64-Bit, Q6600@3.1Ghz, 4Gb DDR2, ATI HD4850, Anydvd HD, so I know my computer is very well equiped to run HD movies. Also plays DVDs and CDs just fine.

I have contacted Lit-On, they just told me to make sure I am selecting the correct drive model. They did also state that their firmware may not be compatible with Vista 64-bit which is what I am running. I think I'm just RMAing this drive back for another well know brand. Thanks for the assistance
