Nope. Should I?

I'm able to record using the software that come with the drive (Power2Go).

That is the key, Nero 7 is outdated for your burner.

I strongly suggest using IMGBURN!!

would suggest you try the new firmware, fixes some issues, also i would update to nero 8, which would have more compatability with the LG, as chef has suggested

Someone is working on RPC-1 for this drive?

.exe uses Microsoft Foundation Class Library v4.2 and ASPI:

SendASPI32Command
GetASPI32SupportInfo
WNASPI32

DriveUpdater engine Version 4.0
Copyright (C) 2003,2007 Hitachi-LG Data Storage,Inc .

They put those drives into .exe (in order the prog can detect it ?!):
GSA-4080B : 8X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4090B : 9X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4100B : 10X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4110B : 11X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4120B : 12X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4130B : 13X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4140B : 14X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4150B : 15X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4160B : 16X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4170B : 17X Super Multi Drive
GSA-4990B : 99X Super Multi Drive

Any good pics from inside (specially the CPU/Processor) ?

Gradius

It seems there're a maintenance mode hidden into .exe, I also found out you'll not be able to downgrade the firmware too (another stupid protection).

The LG Renesas flasher are able to build the flasher packages.

The flasher should allow to flash to drives matching drive revision XL**.

The MCSE RPC2 auto reset patch should work, but I doubt someone dares to test it.

Do you think that you can (in the futur) change this LG firmware.
We can modify option, but can't save the firmware.
Edit: (for RPC2 auto reset)

Don't worry, for me, you are a genius.

=D> for your software.

The next MCSE release will support modifying the GGC/GGW firmwares, which was tested in the mean time. The RPC2 autoreset patch should work, the riplock patch has to be modified.
