 Hi Have recieved a genuine copy of firmware for Pioneer DVR-217 v1.07 fixed my problems with drives running v1.05 firmware this file is not available on any Pioneer web site yet

Hi Kevin, there has been no official update to ver 1.07 as this was a production update only and not normally available for end-user use. I have however been supplied with a copy of 1.07 from Pioneer Japan, which our engineering people said may assist with your problem but there are no guarantees, but it's certainly worth a go.
