Hi, i need a dos flasher for my unresponsive (but still recognised) ND-3550 drive. I can't flash it with binflash or the original flash utility.

No, i need the TDB flasher. Like i said it isn't flashable with binflash.

The binflash site refers to the TDB dos flashers as a last resort, but there is no ND-3550 flasher available.

BTW, why did you move my post?

It does not.
There is no DOS flasher for your drive at http://tdb.rpc1.org/ !!!

What have you really done? Crossflashed? Then its a doorstep now.

I flashed it with the original NEC 1.07 firmware, then tried binflash. I did NOT crossflash the drive!

The drive is recognised by WinXP, but that's it. I cannot access cd or dvd contents.

Then test the drive in another computer or on another ide controller set up.
Try some read/write tests by using Nero cd/DVD Speed.
