The Firmware Page

Hi guys, I am new in here and I need your help.

I have burned some 16x Memorex DVD+R, but after burning they can't be read by the same drive. I have try in other computers, and they read the disc without problems. In my drive it says that the disc is empty.

By the way, it says that I have no System ASPI installed ( I dont know if this is problem), however, it also says that it has the Nero ASPI installed.

Another important thing is that the Infotool from Nero does recognize the DVD, this is the info



Please help me I dont know which is the problem, I had tried to update the firmware, but I cant actually find an update to it.

Hi and welcome to RPC1,

install actual mainboard drivers (Busmaster- & Chipset driver).
Please contact the manufacturer of your mainboard to get newest ones.

Hi, i have exactly the same problem, i can record DVD and everything but i can not read them on the same drive also i can't read recorded DVDs in other drives, i already updated my BIOS the drivers of the processor i have a HP dv8040ca with AMD Turion64, my DVD-RW is a TS-L532M/SD-R6572M and the firmware that im using is the HR08, i found this website http://hijacker.rpc1.org/toshiba/index.php?path=SD-R6572M/ with some updates but i dont know if i should install them or if it will solve my problem and ofcourse wich one install, please someone help me thank you

Use different discs. Your burner probably has not been programmed to handle those 16x discs correctly.

Try to find some 8x discs.

Burn with Verify so you can see if the burned disc is readable or not.
If it verifies okay you know that som software or driver is the troublemaker, nothing else.
