I just bought one to replace my dead Benq 1640 and I have to say this is as good as the 1640 if not better. Flashed to 1.09 as soon as I got it, fyi it came with 1.06 and was MIC Dec 2006

Yes MIC=Made in China. only compliant is no book type bitsetting for DVD+R but they do burn some of my rubbish pretty good. I have some Dataware 8X DVD+R which the 1640 could only manage them at 4X but the 112D could manage them at 6x but fail at 4x...funny.

need to flash bufallo firmware for bitsetting DVD+R

Thanks downloaded their 8.09 firmware for the 112D, wondering if I be able to flash back to stock 1.09 if I don't like 8.09..tia
