Hi,
i have a simple Question:
What is the best DVD Rom for read DVD to HD in HighSpeed & RPC1 Mode via hacked Firmware ?
My faves in stores at the moment are, but i dont know "this drives good drives are?":
NEC DV-5800x, Sony DDU1615SVsi, Samsung SH-D163A
At the moment i use the LG 8164 and this sucks very slow and it gives no rpc1 firmware for it.

There are Rip-Lock (Pressed Media) and RPC1 patches for the GDR-8164B drive.

Can i have please a direct Link to the unlocked Firmware ?
What is what i need auto, full or rpc1 ? I dont know what i need for a better dvd ripping speed !?

Currently Auto Reset and RPC1 firmware based on 0L06 BROKEN, and 0L06 WORKING
broken or the working version ???

chef, i dont want kidding you !
why is the broken version than ready for download if the borken version are useless ?
two releases for one drive is a lil bit chaos for me.
i take the working version now.

TDB could surely answer that, but probably some tests have shown that the "broken" version wasn't working as expected. 
No hard feelings, enjoy your drive.

It seems, that download links for LG HL-DT-ST GDR-8164B 0L06 WORKING and LG HL-DT-ST GSA-4167B DL13 Windows (RPC1 and Auto-Reset) are dead. Is it possible to repair it please?

mhhh i have test all the four firmwares from the TDB "8164B.ZIP", no one can give me full 16x read speed, all four have the same poor speed as the original firmware... but i want speed in kind as Toshiba 1802 or 1612, i want full 16x speed for my LG8164B-GDR, or is this not patchable by TDB on this drive?
I want the Speed for DVD-Shrink, my old Toshiba 1612 read's with TDB Patch Firmware 18mb/s and this LG here only 3mb/s.... that's my problem.

Please speed up the LG8164-GDR unlock the speed limit please, i donate a sixpack beer!
