The Firmware Page

i tried searching, but i may just be too stupid to find it.

I have a pioneer DRV_111D & was wondering what the difference was between the 1.xx & the 8.xx firmwares for this drive?

which ones should i use...

The drive I have has been cross-flashed to a 111L & don't know what was originally on it. I want to switch it back to the factory Pioneer flashes.

I see "Int OEM" nest to the 8.xx firmwares.....not sure what that means.

are the 8.xx firmwares the buffalo firmwares? difference is auto bittsetting on dvd+r??

yes the 8.xx are the buffalo firmware and has the bitsetting for DVD+R, the int and ext firmware are basically self explantory

thanks for the help. I have that drive and also a Lite-On SHM-165H6S04C

would it hurt to hook them both to the same IDE channel? I have an IDE hard-drive and cant put one of them on that channel.

If i have to, I'll get a SATA hard drive and put each of my DVD burners on a separate channel as Master.

Hi, and could you explain to my what are the differences between 111, 111D, 111L and A11XL?
only the name on the drive or is there something more?

been answered before, briefly 111,A11XL,111L give you Ram burning capability, the 111D does not, and the 111L gives you labelflash and bitsetting, the A11XL is cosmetically better
