Hi,
I have a pioneer DVR-111D.
The other day I flashed it with TDB DVR-111L 8.19 INT and then TDB DVR-111D 8.25INT.
Today I tried to revert back to my original pioneer DVR-111D firmware (1.23) from the pioneer websited and have had trouble.
First I flashed back to TDB DVR-111D 1.06/
Then when I tried to flash the official pioneer 1.23 firmware using the file (DVR111D_FW123EU) from the pioneer website it says
"The firmware of target drive is not the correct F/W.
this firmware is not supported by this program"
HAs anyone got any idea how to get around this?
Thanks.

We've explained this before, we will do so again.
Pioneer flashers will not flash drives with RPC1 firmware.
We have patched the Pioneer flashers.
Flash the drive using the RPC1 version of 1.06 that has our flasher.
Download the 1.23 RPC1 that has the Pioneer Flasher, and the 1.23 Stock releases.
Copy the binaries from the Stock release into the directory with the RPC1 version of the flasher. Do not copy the Stock flasher EXE file.
Run the flasher in the RPC1 directory.

I have tried THIS but it NOT working for me!!??

----------------------------------------------
Its not working its says:
/// ODD Firmware Update Utility Ver2.33C
Start updating the device No.1.
Failed to load binary file.
(File Name : A0812001.106)
Update program is terminated by occuring an error.
Or this:
/// ODD Firmware Update Utility Ver2.33C
Start updating the device No.1.
Current Revision>> PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-111D 1.19 06/03/31
Current Signature = GENERAL
FW is already latest.
Or this 3rd:
/// ODD Firmware Update Utility Ver2.37A
Start updating the device No.1.
Current Revision>> PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-111D 1.19 06/03/31
Current Signature = GENERAL
The firmware of target drive is not correct F/W.
This firmware is not supported by this program.
I can also upgrade it from 1.19 to 1.23 or 1.29 and down to 1.19 again but only in RPC1

FFS, This is what we hate about this bloody step-by-step stuff.
You are not performing this step.
Flash the drive using the RPC1 version of 1.06 that has our flasher.
Get the firmware 1.06 for our site. http://tdb.rpc1.org/#DVR111D
If you can flash the drive with various RPC1 versions, those same damn flashers can flash the binaries from the RPC2 releases.
If one of the steps fails it's really pointless to proceed to the next steps and complain they don't work.
If you are having a problem make sure you document exactly what files you are using, what you are typing in, and what is the output. Provide it ALL not a cut-n-paste summary.

Oki now i made it.
I hade to Startup in SAFE MODE.
Then everything went well.
First i wanted to just flash back to RPC2 and i made it in SAFE MODE.
Then I wanted to flash up my Pioneer 111D to a 111L also this in save mode.
First with 111L_819 then with 111L_826
SAFE MODE was the answer

Yes, it is correct, just very easy
let's make it simply:
1. you have a Pioneer DVR 111D with 111L INT8.26 FW now
2. then you want to flash back to original offical DVR 111D 1.29 FW
If above is correct, you need to do is:
1. flash back to TDB DVR-111D 1.06 (I think you have done)
2. download the offical FW 'DVR111D_FW129EU.EXE '
3. use winrar open this file, take out the file 'A0812001.129' to a folder, e.g. 'C:\FW'
4. download the patched RPC1 FW (111D_129.zip) http://tdb.rpc1.org/#DVR111D
5. use winrar extract the 'UPR111.exe' to that folder which you put the offical FW before (yes, it is the patched flasher)
6. finally just run the 'UPR111.exe', you will get back to the damn offical 1.29 FW.

So now when i have flashed my 111D to a 111L does this mean that i have "auto-bitset" and if i flashed my 111D with 8.19 INT or 1.25 ITN it would also get the "auto-bitset"?

Yes, the bitsetting is set to auto.
Even it donesn't has any option in burnning software, e.g. Nero 7 Premium, but after you burn a DVD+R or DVD +RW, it will set to DVD-ROM mode automatically, so it improve the compatibility on DVD Player.
The INT8.25 FW is for Buffalo Burnner, OEM of Pioneer. Btw, once you flash your 111D to 111L, you will also lose its quiet function of 111D.
