I have it and curiously installed that region free product for my dvd, and i don't know if it is really related to it, but after then my Cd writer doesn't work at all. IS there any firmware or other tools to diagnose it and fix the problem :!: :?:

i mean "DVD Region+CSS Free", has anyone ever reported such a problem, or i should search for the cure somewhere else?

It should not affect an non-DVD drive, but you could contact the authors of course and ask...

The best is to test the drive in another computer.
