Version 2.2 of DVRFlash has been released by Agent Smith :wink:
This version has added support for all Pioneer DVR-110, 110D, K04, K14, K05 & K15!
The supported platforms are:

o DOS/DPMI version (ONLY IF YOU USE A DOS BOOTDISK!!!)
-> dos/ directory
o Linux/x86 version (with a /dev/sg# device)

Because I know it's going to be asked, over and over and over. I'm going to answer this question now. Yes. I know it's not going to stop the question being asked, but now there's a post to point the query to

@LasVegas
That are really good news at monday morning.Thank a lot. I should flash my 110 to 110D. Unhappily at that moment there's no way to flash back to the 110.
Or is there a way to save my own firmware into a backup file?
Greats Alex

Thank you, LasVegas! I read this news just after ordering a DVR-K05. I was
thinking of flashing it under Windows before installing on Mac mini, but it
seems I don't need to.

Thanks Las Vegas!
Has it been determined that flashing a 110D with the 110 firmware will give the drive the DVD-Ram writing capabilities? Or is there something unique that's missing from the 110D models that prevents this? It doesn't look like the 110 will be sold in north america.

Please please please let this be true! I've been awaiting the 110 (not -D) for months now, and have just assumed that they won't sell it here... any confirmations please post!

There is no apparent difference between the two models other than the firmware. Those that have cross-flashed to the DVR-110 have reported success with use of DVD-RAM media.

Hi Super7,
So you flashed with the 1.03 firmware from the Dangerous Brothers I guess?
Can you confirm that this patch is made for the MASTER / INVERSE CSEL drive?
In what laptop do you use it? (and also, what was the drive you replaced?)
Ohh and last question, to your knowledge is the DVR-K05 able to burn DVD-R DL?
See you!

My drive is recognized as PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110 (so without D), with firmware 1.22. This is realy genuine 110 drive that I bought, so is there any way to extract firmware from it and save it in a file to share with the community !? I'm willing to do that if it's possible ?

That we know of. I may be wrong but I think vegas and smith have something up their sleeves on this matter since the release of the 110.

TheShadowRunner, thanx for your attention.
Affirmative. I did flash my drive with 1.03 frim written by the Dangerous Brothers.
The laptop I'm using is Apple's Powerbook G4 1.5GHz/17". I replaced my former UJ825 with the K05 from MCE tech a couple of months ago, and then flashed the drive last night (JST).
Since the DL disks are still pretty expensive in Japan, I haven't tried writing in DL; my primary motive for buying this drive was to get a drive with some hope for RPC1 firm. Matshita drives are pretty much hopeless.
As for the MASTER / INVERSE CSEL settings, I'm not sure where to look. Can you point me where to look?
Seeya Later!

@all
Like i have described before a owned a DVR 110 (MultiRecorder) with it's delivery firmware 1.22.
Now I'm a little bit confused to find this Firmware on the DB's Site
PIONEER DVR-A10XL
Currently RPC1 firmware based on 1.22.
Now i have 3 questions:
1) Is this another different model of the 110 ?
2) Or is this firmware for my 110 (without "A") drive?
3) If piont 2 is correct -- can i use dvrflash 2.2 with this firmware?
CU und thanks.
***EDIT***
Quote: DVR-R100, DVR-610, & DVR-110 (all models) R10_FW122.exe - Firmware update to version 1.22 (WIN) corrects a disc ejection issue when using a writing program with Microsoft Windows ME; improves writability on +R media, improves readability on CD-R and DVD-RAM media; adds support for 8X writing speed on 16X +R media from CMC Magnetics Corp.; 12X writing speed on 16X +R media from Moser Baer India Ltd. / Prodisc Technology Inc. / Philips Electronics; 16X writing speed on 16X +R media from DAXON and Verbatim (Mitsubishi Chemical) 1,241
This confuses me even more. LINK
Pioneer says this firmware is for all 110 drives???
And what's the DVR 100

the dangerous bros link you posted is for the 110 (A10), this has been flashed successfully to a 110D using dvrflash 2.2 and a force command, the tests are on going, the other link to pioneer is for the 110D firmware

But the question is if the DB's RCP1 firmware is for the XL is flashable to my 110? I meen not the crossflash between 110 and the 110A.
