That's as soon as the firmware for your Pio-110 becomes officially available from Pioneer and Buffalo =)
The Dangerous Brothers will surely come up with the patched firmware.

I have aske the question before but unanswered, maybe I didn't ask it right.
What are the steps to modify the Bisetting on the 110D, the Dangerous Bros. method. Be detailed and where I can get the firmware. Thanks

Puma maybe you're too fast for me. LOL
I have firmware 1.22 and the RPCis II not I
Do I download the firmware
"Currently RPC1 with Bitsetting firmware based on 1.22 (Synthesized from 8.22). Drive will remain as regular "GENERAL" model, not Buffalo "OEM_INT" model."
and installe it.
What is this thing with Buffalo 8.22

yes download that, basically the buffalo firmware has bitsetting, so the brothers have used that in the 1.22 pioneer firmware

One of brands that supports bitsetting on thirdparty Pioneer drives... The Dangerous Brothers hacked it and made it possible crossflashing with DVR-110D

Now the only problem is I have 100 dvd of fijitsu of DVD-R. LOL Well I know its done and its behind me.
One other question, if Prioneer release another update of the firmware, will the new update remove the Bitsetting.

Yes, new firmware completely replaces old firmware, its not an incremental thing.

.... And cannot be disabled... Only by a new firmware update that don't support it...

Since RPC-1 has been added to current 109 and 110 drives I was wondering. The 110 comes standard with no riplock meaning less work involved. Adding RPC-1 to the buffalo firmware instantly netted all needs accomplished, with the 109 it isn't so easy however. This drive does have riplock enabled meaning we can only have either riplock removed with RPC-1 via A09 firmware OR bitsetting with RPC-1 via Buffalo. Can anyone possibly add riplock removed to the Buffalo RPC-1 firmware to yield all possibilities on this drive as well? Thanks.

I'm just completly lost here.
Does after flashing the 110D with the 8.22 firmware, every +R disc will be written as (bitset to) DVD-ROM automaticly?
Or is it stil +R, since the drive does not support bitsetting? Or is there a way to change the settings?

You have a 110 not a 110D, we have not released a patched firmware, as Pioneer has not released a firmware update for the 110, only the 110D and A10XL. You can use the A10XL patched firmware, flashing with DVR Flash 2.2 or wait until another firmware is available.

AH - Schoolboy error, thanks for pointing that out.
I've flashed about 5 drives now but still apparently no expert at this. I'll give the XL firmware a shot until you do your magic.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Here is a link to the A10 Quiet Drive Utility for the A10XL.
Works fine on my 110D -> A10XL crossed flashed drive.

Now waiting for bitsetting support for my "new" A10 drive.

I have crossed my 110d to a A10XL no worries
I have burnt some -r and +r with success but I don't have any -ram media to try
Has anyone tried some -ram media with the above cross?
I'd just like to confirm that it burns as MCSE didn't have a -ram strategy when I loaded the firmware into it.

For DVD-110D to appear as Apple Shipped / Supported it must have fw version label AA06 and model label DVD-110D. It would be cool if drive could be updated to DVD-110 RPC1 v1.22 with bitsetting and still keep DVD-110D vAA06 label.
