How many write and erase on cd-rw, dvd-rw and dvd+rw?

any one know how many write and erase can be done in a single cd-rw, dvd-rw and dvd+rw???

Depends on the writer, media quality and program.
Some medias die after one erase, others lasting "forever".

how true, remember my first cdrw lasted 2 erases and it completly died on me

if you use quickly erase -rw, some -rw was been die momentally!
use full erase option and everything is ok.

This just doesn't make sense.

Fast Format should be the option if you often re-write your RWs.
