i have a friend who has an sony crx 230e fw version qys1 ...
i've downloaded last night the qys3 fw from rpc1.org and i've tried to apply the firmware!
the progress bar went all the way to 100% and then it halted! no window to show me that the update was done, no activated close button, nothing!
The ctrl+alt+del wasn't working, and then, stupid me, i pressed the reset button! I'm so stupid! After the reboot the drive doesn't get recognized by the bios, the led is on and i can't open the tray!
what is there to do? the warranty expired in december and now my friend, i think, he blames me for the problem. can we do anything to bring him back from the dead?
i've already applyed an fw update on my ASUS DRW-1608p with the Pioneer update and it worked! did i do something wrong with the sony?
please can anyone help me?
