After flashing my Ltn526S drive with the original Liteon Firmware, the utility said everything was all-right, so I rebootet. But after the reboot, the drive is showing some strange behaviour. Windows (XP pro) Sees the drive, but is not able to acces it. I've tried flashing it again, but then I get an error message saying that the drive isn't recognized.

To get to the point: Is there anyone with a GOOD firmwareversion for this drive and how do I flash it, with wich tool (yeah, I know I am a n00b  )

Well... I hope you can help me out!
Thanks in advance!

Try removing the drive from Device Manager and restarting.

I've done that several times, but it doesn't help.

Also, when I'm starting the PC up, it sais: Boot from ATAPI-CD-rom, but it doesn't boot my XP-pro CD. That is what makes me think it's something with the internal firmware. (I have the newest BIOS on my Aopen AX4BS)Cd is official, by the way :)

Took another machine and excanged drives, Other machines drive is working fine in stupid PC, StupidPC's drive is not working in other machine...

Still noone with an appropriate tool? I'm looking for a tool that'd flash a monitor's firmware into a CPU if it had to, if you know what I mean :P
