I don't understand why a topic in this forum is born and it is going on in german language when the language of this site is english and when someone write in other language (i.e. italian) this is not accepted! And this is not good and right!

And [_chef_] as moderator, also if he is from Germany, should have not to reply and to write in german language!

There are other forums for firmware related discussion in other languages, we're not a monopoly ;)

While this site is predominantly English, there are quite a few German regulars (Even some of the moderators!). Now if one posts in Italian or Spanish, it's likely that very few, if any will be able to read it, so they'll get the pat answer, "English Only, Please!" German posts are, by virtue of the popularity of the language here, going to get a mildly less curt answer.

Why dont the people here make a all language section. None of us need read it but atleast people can stop complaining that there is no space for them. :P

No we won't. We need to be able to moderate what's going here, and creating an all language section is the shortest way to give a license to spammers and rogue advertiser to fill in the forum with crap.

On the other hand, our goal here is to help people, so if some desperate bloke comes in and asks for what looks like a genuine request for help in his native language, we can make an exception. I agree however that this request should be dealt with as quickly as possible, and the bloke given pointers to babelfish.org, so as not to give anybody else ideas.

Also, we have a few moderators and admins here who can read German, which explains why a post in German is more likely to be accepted than a post in Italian which, I believe, none of us can read, and hence upon which none of us will be able to detect malicious content.
Of course, the day most of our moderators speak Italian and none German, the situation will probably be reversed, but what we tolerate is really to our current moderators' discretion.
This doesn't mean that we will be permissive to German posts. Having each and every single post in English will always be our preference.
We just try to be tolerant from time to time.

Only >NIL: has posted a good reply to me: also [_chef_] should have to reply so!

But I think if someone has a problem administrators could use the PM instead forum.

Otherwise german administrators should translate in english their replies.

Thank.

You are judging my answer and want to dictate what I have to do and how? How polite.

Also, who are these "german administrators" you are talking about?? I know none here in this forum.

Ah come on! Cut it already you two. WWII was 60 years ago and if I'm not mistaken, Germany and Italy were allies back then (not that it is that good a reference). Are you trying to pick up a war or what?

Who cares if there is a bloody thread in German, Italian or Klingon in this forum?
It's only a single thread, and the fact that it served as a piggybag (i.e. dump-all) for German speakers who might have started another German thread (which we would NOT have accepted - 1 thread from time to time is as far as we go) might not be a bad thing after all.
We could have had 4 or 5 German threads started.

If we're going to play in the same sandbox, we gotta be nice with each other, regardless of the language we are speaking.
And moderators should really try to give the example here. When something is on the way to get settled, it's no use to shake the reptile box once again.
