Is it possible to register to receive a notification email whenever a new firmware file is released for a certain drive?
If it is possible, how do I do it.
If it is not possible... consider this an official feature request

-Some manufacturers do have live update utility, which you can download and install on your computer. You can run this utility periodically to check if any updates are available.

what I mean is, find the drive you wish to "watch" from the list of drives for which firmware is available on the firmware page. And then tag it so that you will automatically receive an email whenever it is modified.
If you look for firmware you will notice they are orginized by drive, and that it has a "last modified by" entry, which suggests it is in a type of database where doing what i suggested would be simple....
Besides, who needs more junk running on their computer? (and I do mean junk, the dell thing doesnt find firmware or drivers, the asus one doesnt connect past a router and does NOT have all of their firmware listed, only older versions... etc).
Not to mention running an autoupdate thing periodically actually requires you to REMEMBER to do it and to think about it... I have WAAAAY too many things to keep updated already. Getting an email notification when something is available for your drive is much better

That's a good idea for a feature, but it's not something that is offered right now.

I see you are an admin, would you please tell of this idea to the other guys? It will be really awesome if it gets implemented.
