Why isn't there a linux faq or board?'
After all there's a Mac board, and Slackware is a supplier...tsk,tsk ;)

It would make things a little easier, organize related info a little better.
There seem to be a good number of linux related posts.

I'd assume that a Linux user wouldn't have much of a problem figuring out how to use a simple command line program to flash ;) Linux flash tools are very rare also. Maybe you'll get your wish though. The forums need to be redone.

Linux questions can be posted in the normal forums, of course.

You'd be surprized.
Some new linux users are fresh off the boat.

But generally I'd agree with you, even though most people are not in the habit
of flashing hardware on a regular basis. Just point me in the right direction,
and feed me a good doc or two.

Still it took me the better part of a day to search around and figure out the site
structure, read a large number of windows docs, do the downloads, search
through previous messages for 'linux' and my drive model etc. In general, a
lot of sifting.

Yes, well firmware flashing is certainly more difficult and dangerous than, say, installing a driver...

True. I notice there's still a few brave hearts left in the world though - and a
lot of redundant questions. ;) Personally I haven't touched a driver in
years (linux). It's all been kernels, modules, lsmod, insmod etc. - not that
you have to be a vulcan or something...:)
