I flash my sony crx 230E using sony crx 230ED's firmware.Unfortunately,it can't read anything and write anything either after flashing.Accordingly,I tend to reflash back using sony crx 230e's,however,sony crx 230E's firmware utility QYS3 automatically quit with prompt "No matched drive detected!This utility is only for SONY CD-RW CRX230E crive.",and it's no response by using Mtkflash in DOS also.

What can I do? Please help me.

Hi
I try again by your advise that "mtkflash 3 w /m QYS1.bin",when I press enter,the promopt is:
"Port: 170,Master/Slave: a0"
with 5 minutes no responding,I press ESC,and the promopt is:
"status=51,should be 70"
What can I do for this?

have you the firmware also on the floppy? makes sure it is because usually if its on a NTFS file system it cannot be accessed, only other thing i can suggest is try with another firmware

no,because my harddisk is formatted to fat32,and I'm sure can access mtkflash and *.bin from DOS.

In addition,I have had tried to use mtkwinflash with other firmware e.g. lite-on's QS0C.BIN,QS09.BIN flash it in Windows,not in luck,always occurs err when initial device,with promopt of"ERR: fail to identify the flash type!"

I now just wonder if can I declare its death?

I used command line mtkflash 3 w /b /m 2ys3.bin ver 1.83c

"Port: 170,Master/Slave: a0"
with few minutes no responding,I press ESC,and the promopt is:
"status=51,should be 70"

with mtkwinflash used both atapi and ide launch

"err:fail to identify flash type " or something like that

Wtha's wrong?
