Liteon 12101B with LKU6
Hello, Im using Liteon 12101B with LKU6 ; i want to know if the last firmware LKUA is correct with this CDR ; also, i want to know which utilitie i need to upgrade my new CDR ; thanks;-)

Hi.
If you have a Liteon L12101B, then the last firmware for your drive is this:
LS3J23.zip
Windows
524KB
2001/09/20
Improve playability
And the URL to download this firmware is:

To update the firmware of your cdrw unit, you need to boot into real-dos-mode and execute the flash program.

Is LKUA good for LITEON 12101B with LKU6 initial ?

As I said in my last post, the best firmware for your cdr-w unit is the last one. The LS3J23.

I know this is a very old thread, but I am attempting to refurb an old computer for my 7 year old granddaughter, and can confirm that the
LS3J23 "update" is no good. It does not work with the LKU6. It says plainly which firmware versions it will work with, and the LKU* series is not one of them. It will function ONLY with the LS series of updates. With any LKU* series, it does not function.
With that said, my granddaughter computer has a LITEON LTR12101B in it, and does not burn any of the CDRs I have on hand without considerable error. Not one.
Anyone have the LKUA version on hand, or one of the LS** series, or can recommend a way to get this burner to function properly? I have not been able to find any upgrades that will work, as most of the links provided in various forums are broken.
I am stuck.
