hello i have a QSI SBW-081, but when i insert some dvd's recorded on my asus they combo don't read the dvd showing blank and some times is alwas reading crashing the system until i eject the cd. why does this happend? firmware? optical sucks?

The drive probably can't read recordable DVD's well. Not all drives can, especially not older drives.
