I have an older computer and am having problems with my cd drive. I have a samsung cd-rom sn-124. Ive been searching for it myself and not getting very lucky with my search. SOMEBODY HELP!!! THANKS :(

Well.... My cd -rom is not acting right. When I put in a cd, a window comes up and says that it does not detect a cd in the drive. Also, sometimes when I can get it to work, it will run really slow or stall out on me. Im not sure what to do except redownload the cd rom. Could you help me?? Thanks!!

Try exchanging the IDE-cable and moving the drive to another IDE-port, maybe that helps.
Otherwise run a checkprogram like AIDA.

Maybe it's the hardware problem ,I think you'd better open the CDROM and exam it. Maybe the problem can't be solved only by software.
