hi i have a sony vaio vgn fz-31s laptop and recently installed windows 7 and got all the drivers and stuff from the sony support site everyone went fine exept the bluray rom now doesnt work at all it wont open up
even when i open manualy and put a disk it , still nothing . so i did a recovery by f10 when booting up put vista back on and i have the same problem . i guess its somehow flashed some wrong firmware to the drive or something. it wont let me update the firmware it says its uptodate
and to make things worse i just called sony vaio up and the laptop is 1 month out of warrenty and they wont give me no advice ,all they said was they can pick it up and this costs £250 just for them to pick it up . so basicly what i need is the older firmware from the drive to flash it with becouse i cant update it when it says its upto date . if anyone could please help me id be happy
