I am trying to find a way to decrease the read speed on my GGC-H20L for regular DVDs. I have a HTPC and when I play HD-DVD and BR the drive is silent and runs at 1x speed.
As soon as I put a DVD or DVD-R with .mkv files, the drives spins out really fast thus getting very noisy.
I have tried various apps, Any DVD, Nero DVD speed but none can control that drive.
I am hoping something can be done with the firmware.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
