Hi,

has someone seen the Pioneer BDR 207 JBK already for sale?

info: http://pioneer.jp/press/2011/1213-1.html
info: http://www.bdxlburner.com/pioneer-bdr-207-jbk/

I've seen the 207 DBK for sale on some aussie sites, but nowhere else, not even in Japan. :roll:

I just wanna add the Pioneer BDR-XD04 mentioned here: http://www.cdrlabs.com/Optical-Drives/P ... riter.html

Is it a clone of the Samsung SE-506 or vice versa???

And which drive rebadged Asus for their new external?

The spec looks 100% the same, even the STEEL cover is 100% the same and AFAIK that thing is patent pendent.

It wouldn't be a surprise you can flash that thing with Pioneer's FW.

Just got my BDR-207UBK today (aka BDR-2207).

I wonder why Pioneer created odd numbers.

FYI BDR-207nBK where n can be:

U = US/Canada
E = Europe
J = Japan/Asia

They are all 100% the same.

Funny thing the drive is from February 2012 (same month I posted here).

Box is labeled as BDR-2207, however drive itself is indeed BDR-207M:

Yeah, name disguises all the time for the NA/American market. ;)

Hey Gradius,
