Version info: MATSHITADVD-R UJ-867: Model: MATSHITADVD-R UJ-867 Revision: HB01 It's in a MacBook white runing OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard) The drive region setting is currently on R1 but I have sevral R2 disk as well. How long wil it take for you guys to provide en update?

Thanks. Sent this about a month ago, I wonder if Ben11 is on vacations or something like that... Is he planning to patch more firmwares? My brother bought the Super-Extended Lord of the Rings collection when he was in europe (6h+ each film), and now I don't have where to play it! Pleeeeeease, I watch half an hour from the first once, it's sooo more fun...

I have bought a new Dell M1330 laptop and have just reach 5 times to change the region code.
Unfortunately, I don't realize it before I changed.
Can you help me to reset the counter or change the firmware to rpc1. Thanks you!!

Hi everyone! I've got a Asus X51R Laptop, with a Matshita UJ-850S, and running GNU/Linux. Region changes have all been used, and now the DVD drive is locked. I've seen there is no hope for this drive, but.. Would that be helpfull to get a sample of the driver? I've tried to compile and run the C dump program, and it doesn't work: gcc doesn't recognize the "-framework" option. If it can be helpfull to run a dump program on the laptop, I would be glad to do so. Is is possible to modify a little the C programm, so as to make it run on GNU/Linux? (I'm very bad at C, so I cann't guess).

Ok, no hope for me. Is it possible to get dumps from the drive, anyway? So as to help other users? From what I've seen on the forum and the FAQ, this drive stinks a lot

I have a Matshita UJ-875 DVD Drive with firmware revision DA09 on a MBP.
Unfortunately DUMP doesn't work, only returning the "compiled at .." string. Sucks.
