Oh no, not again!!! We really have to put up a FAQ or a procedure on how to flash firmwares, or we'll continue to get flooded by those questions. Not that such a question is illegitimate, but maybe we need to address it once for all... Anybody willing to help with a detailled procedure?
It cant be that difficult, can it??.I 've done motherboard bios before. Are you suppose to put the files on a bootable floopy and then load it from the A prompt, if so what do you type in??

Yes, (most of the times) you need to boot from a DOS boot floppy (or at least boot in DOS mode). You might need to load some SCSI driver for an SCSI upgrade. Then you need to have the proper flashing program. Then you usually need to give a parameter to tell which unit you'll be accessing And you usually end that by giving the name of the firmware. So the command line would look like: A:> <flash_exec> <unit_ID> <firmware_name> If you've already done a BIOS, it's very similar

>NIL, perhaps its time for you to put a faq of "How to flash (not physically )" in the forum, either as a page of its own or as a link. I think many are getting sick of similar posts like these, a faq is certainly helpful with newbies.
