What you mean is the booktype of either DVD+R or DVD+R DL media. Bitsetting is the verbal description.
First use Imgburn, nero cd dvd speed or dvdinfopro and check the drive capabilities.
Then, without posting the current firmware on your drive, you cannot expect any answer to your question.
