Hi all

I have SONY DW RW D22A(originally it was dw rw d22a, but after firmware flashing I converted it to SONY DRU-710A, 2 or 3 years ago).
Today I tried to burn some dvds(ProdiscF01), but drive just pop up errors like "Session fixation error", "Power calibration error", "E:/ is not accessible" etc etc.
Again tried to flash new firmware, either LiteOn SOHW-1633S, Sony DRU-710A or LiteOn SOHW-1653S patched/stock/crossflashing, error pops up "No matched drive selected" :(

What's the problem ?

I say your drive is old and obsolete and should be replaced.

I know that it's VERY old, just want to flash it to sohw-1653s, but when patched firmwares don't work - the last thing is buy new one.

Can you recommend me some good dvd burner, with good fw support (ide connection) ?

That's hard, IDE / ATAPI is kinda obsolete for optical drives.

Maybe you could get an Optiarc 72xx?
