Hi I am Quite New To This I have a LG GSA H10A drive the firmware is JL05 latest as far as i Read through and Downloaded Media Code Speed Edit And loaded My JL05.exe Firmware in the Cross Flash Settings It shows Quite a number of drive like H12N,H12L I wanted to Know which will be the Best and Is there any way of Going Back to the H10 after i Crossflash And Also Actually I have got little knowledge about this does Switching From H10A to H12N mean I can Use The H12N Firmware.

If U Are Replying And Naming a Drive to Which I should Cross Flash Then Please Also Provide The Latest Firmware Link.

Can Someone Also Tell Me Does Crossflashing Increase Burning Success Rates also Since i have Been Trying to Burn DL in GSAH10A but Lot of Coasters.

I am Sorry Since i Searched The Thread Found Something About the GSA H10A But they didn't Lead me to my Questions Answers Ok I have Got Both MCSE an Drive Info I Opened MCSE and Looked At it in Cross Flashing. Also Like After Cross Flashing Which Firmware Do i Install The H12N This One after Cross flashing Or the H10A One JL04 one after the crossflashing
Code:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_file.php?site=tdb1&file=H12NUJ12.ZIP

Sorry For such a Long Message And If I have Created The Thread in Wrong Section Please Mods Move It If this is Not Allowed Then delete It.Since Might Be that I am Not Posting In Correct Format But as far as I know I have tried to Post How others Have Posted in the thread

Hoping For a Response

Thank You

MCSE page should tell you what crossflash you can do with the LG H10A, you can go backwards, by using MCSE the same way, you need to patch the official LG flasher with MCSE, so that it forces the crossflash

What is LG Official Flasher Do u mean the Firmware.exe File Like i loaded the JL05.exe Firmware in the MSCE

So After I crossflash I am thinking about going for H12N so Do i install the Firmware Given here
Code:
http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSAH12N
the UJ12RPC1 and AutoReset after crossflashing or some other.firmware Is this the Latest firmware for the Drive H12N or Is there A Newer Firmware as well. After i switch to H12N i need to install the H12N firmware or some other firmware of H10A

I am Going to Crossflash I think Soon But The Only Confusion is that after crossflashing Which Firmware To Install. And How to install.

download the H12N firmware UJ12, load it in MCSE, and choose the crossflash settings at the bottom, choose GSA-H10N, you will be prompted, accept it, then save it, and then use that flasher with speedpatched at the end, to crossflash the drive, now the drive is classed as a H12N, and if any updates are available you would use H12N one, any problems post back

Shouldn't I Load the JL05.exe Firmware From LG in MCSE and Then Choose GSA-H12N Since i am having a GSAH10A Drive not a GSAH12N Drive. And What Does Use Flasher with SpeedPatched Mean.

here is the Screen of What i am Doing
Image

Loading the JL05 firmware in MCSE and See in the Crossflash setting there is H12N so should i just select H12N and When It asks Do u Want to Flash to H12N i should Select Yes Right? Then After That What should I do Download @H12N firmware that is RP1and Autoreset And Then install both of them.

JL05 is what you have already, to crossflash to the H12N, follow what i posted

No. The text above this combo box is "Select current drive id", which you should do.

Okk I saw that now Select Current Drive Id in that i select GSA H10A Then What Happens It asks for Do you really want to adapt the flasher to flash the Firmware to a 'GSA H10A drive' Yes and No If i select Yes then Doesn't it mean i am Crossflashing to GSAH10A Which My Drive already Is rather than GSAH12N Which i want to Crossflash my drive to Isn't There a Step -by-Step Tutorial On How to Do this I couldn't Find It .Sorry for being such a Noob just that i don't want to make the Dvd Drive Non Functional Due to my Mistake.
Does Crossflashing Mean Afterwards I can Use H12N Firmware that is UJ12 with RPC1and Autoreset Which is Available here http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSAH12N.

@puma I wanted to Know You are Telling Me to load the H12N firmware And Choose in Crossflash Settings GSAH10N but my drive is H10A As i can see it in Device manager And
What does this Mean:and then use that flasher with speedpatched at the end, to crossflash the drive I couldn't Understand.

1) Load WHich Firmware JL05 or UJ12 Which i downloaded From here http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSAH12N. But the H12N has Two Files 1Autoreset and RPC1 which one to load.

2) What To select in the Current Drive ID My Current Drive GSAh10A or Which i want to crossflash to GSAH12N.
3) What else I need to Do after It Promts me For Yes Or No.

yeah typo, select the H10A from the drop down list, apart from that, follow what i told you, you do not patch the H10A firmware, you patch the H12N so it flashes to the H10A.

Follow what i posted, RPC1 and Autoreset, see the FAQ, we have explained this many times, once you pick one, load it in MCSE, choose the crossflash at the bottom, to adapt it to flash to a H10A drive, then save it, it will save with _speedpatched on the end. run that flasher to crossflash the drive

Thanks Puma A Little Bit Clearer Now Load the H12N firmware selecting H10A in Current Drive ID.And Then save it And Then Run the Saved File But I wanted To Know Rather Than Using the RPC1 or Auto reset can i use the Normal Firmware Of the LG drive i.e official One Since I usually Download My Movies So i don't Think there is any problem Of Region Lock. And Will Crossflashing the Drive also Lead to better Burning Of the Discs. If i can Use the Normal LG firmware Can I get a Link to It.Since I am Still Not Sure about using RPC1 or Auto reset.

Sorry For Such a Long thread Since I am Doing this for First time and Really Don't Want to mess it up and Make My Drive Unusable.

That is UL02 firmware I found UL12 Firmware For H12N aswell Which One Should I use.
If Not the Original Firmware Out of RPC1 and AutoReset Which Should i use Since I don't Play Movies Through DVD in my Pc so i don't think i have too much trouble with Region lock.

Again Retracing the Steps
1) Load H12N firmware in the MCSE and Select H10A in Current Id
2) Say yes When it promts for Falshing
3) Save the Firmware And Run the saved Filed To Crossflash.

Right?

kk U mean UL02 is Latest or UL12 is latest And The Steps i told are they right?
1) Load H12N firmware in the MCSE and Select H10A in Current Id
2) Say yes When it prompts for Flashing
3) Save the Firmware And Run the saved Filed To Cross flash.

After I save the Firmware Do i have to Run the Saved File Again After Reboot.

I wanted To Know If I should Use the Official Firmware Of H12N or RPC1 or Autoreset Since I read the Faq Section Abt the Difference Still I have Doubts that's Why i am Asking.
Puma I am Really Sorry If I am Making this Topic Long since I have never done this before and i might Ruin my drive if i do something Wrong That's Wht double checking And If i go wrong Will System Restore Etc Work On This to Restore back to Default.

EDIT: I wanted to Know If I Load the RPC1 Firwmare Instead of The Original Firmware Is there any Extra Work I need to Do And Does Loading RPC1 lead to More Complications

use UL12, Your steps are correct, you do not need to run the flasher again afterwards, only use RPC1 or an Autoreset if you plan on changing regions alot, and watching different regional movies, if your not, then flashing the official firmware will be enough.

System Restore for windows will not restore any drive settings or restore a firmware flash, if you wanted to restore it to like it is now, you would need to download the H10A firmware and follow the same procedure, but in reverse, hope this helps.

There is no UL12 firmware. UL02 and UJ13 have the same internal timestamp, 102406.
