TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F

Postby Tricker22 on Wed Nov 05, 2008 1:09 am

Hey guys,

I have a doubt here... I found all possible information about my hardware, and there says:

"TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F

Extra Info: 0709
Serial No: H-S223FFirmware0000
Firmware Revision: SB00 " and here is the problem...

Every firmware i find on the web, refers to the sb01 revision. I might be quite stupid asking that, but, is this a newer version of my SB00 firmware revision? I mean, could I download this firmware revision (SB01) with no problem and pacth it in order to get just a region free DVD writer?

That's all I'm concerned about. I've looked everywhere and found just the SB01. I'll use the Patch Utility Samsung to do so. Is that fine?

I have no experience on doing it. Actually, I'm very affraid of doing so. But I MUST do it! I live in Brazil, and bought recently the box set of The Lord of the Rings - Extended Edition from Portugal, thus, I gotta get a modified hardware to justify my investment...

Thanks guys!

SB01 is newer firmware than what you have, download it, then you can patch to RPC1 and flash
