I am after a new dvd + - rw drive must be sata or external usb but needs to easy or already multi region as i need to add some dvds to my ipod but cannot convert my r1 discs

the drive i have in my dell at the mo is PBDS DVD+-RW DH-16W1S but don't know what it is !!

Update just found the prog and tryed it but still locked give my code

your drive is region free now



this is normal response for an RPC1 drive, if your having issues, its with software, and not the drive, as we always say here, patching the drive is half the job, you need software for player restrictions etc, use dvd region killer, anydvd for this

PBDS is Philips BenQ Digital Storage, AFAIK. Sold to Liteon, I think.
