Matshita DVD Ram Uj 8505

Hello all.

In trying to make my computer dvd region free, I came across this site. I use a Matshita DVD Ram Uj 8505 . I found the hack/software that will make a Matshita DVD Ram Uj 850 region free on this site.

Here is the question. Both seem like the same drive, but before I go messing with my drive, do I have to worry about that missing #five??

I am thinking they are one and the same, but want to make sure.

WHERE should that hack be? :roll:

The only available firmware is listed as "RPC-2", not RPC-1.

You surely mean the UJ-850 S, not a 8505.

Stupid me, yes it is an UJ-850S. How did I miss that??

Actually I tried the patch, for UJ-850 , it did not work.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

What patch?

There is no patch.

Friends, I executed an updating of a firmware for UJ850 thinking to be for UJ850S and now mine DVD-RAM he/she doesn't make any reading nor recording. When it is inserted a CD or DVD the unit no it accepts command to open. And the hardware indication in the panel SYSTEM disappears. Please if somebody can help myself with her Original Firmware am very thankful or with correct UPDATE. At once I thank

"Original firmware" for this drive is only available from Matshita.

Would he/she have Link for Download? it is that I need to do with that the DVD-RAM UJ-850S returns the at least what was.. To read and to record. If I don't make a mistake the version originates was 1.02 or 1.20 am not very right. if he/she has the link or the firmware.. I am thankful.. Excuse not to be with the correct translation why am using a translator since I am of the brasil and I don't speak English. But I ask for his/her help because it is the only that he/she answered me. Please help me.

My difficulty in understanding English harms in the fact of me to find the solution for that problem. I ask for his/her help earnestly, for download of the firmware or something that unlocks the recording. For you already to have more experience in the subject.

there is none, you need to contact the manufacturer as chef has told you

There is no HP OEM firmware for this drive yet released.

The one also Taurus linked to is already linked in the database and is for SONY OEM only.

That Matsushita DVD-RAM UJ-850 Firmware v 1.01 that I used and that caused the problem of the DVD-RAM UJ-850-S not to want more to READ or to Record. Therefore I seek means of reverting the problem. Would he/she have how anybody with UJ-850-S working, to generate an image of her firmware and to send for me? Is that possible?

flashed the wrong firmware, drive is useless now

I would try to sell the drive to someone who can use it and buy another one, maybe external.

I believe that solution exists for that problem. If somebody has as generating a firmware apartir of the already existent and a DVD-RAM UJ-850S that esteje working. It would be possible yes to update this, because she is recognized by the system.

My God.. eheheh nobody has a DVD-RAM UJ-850-S? of the model that mine.. and get to create a firmware apartir of the one of him! .. then only I have two exits.. the first is to wait the rest of the life to appear a firmware update.. or to buy other DVD-RAM. Cannot anybody help? in that planet with billion.. of people... :-)

There is no chance to extract the firmware from such MatSHITa drives, otherwise RPC1 patches could have been easily created already since years...

If patching Matsushita/Matshita/Panasonic was such a simple matter there would be numerous patched modified Firmware available but unfortunately that not the case. If you have closely reviewed the

I have Philips x56 with matshita uj-850s.
It see CD-Roms and write them ok, but
DVD's very rarely even empty DVD.

but the problem is why my matshita uj-850s doesn't work how it should be (computer is 5months old).
