there is a way but you will need a binary editor to modify the flasher for the 1.09

If that is the case I'll pass, anyway it is DVD-ROM for DVD+RDL in the stock 1.09 right?

Modifying with an hex editor two bytes in the exe upgrade file you'll be able to force flashing firmware of 109 over buffalo release.

DVR-112D crosflashes nicely to DVR-112L or if you want to Buffalo firmware with SL+R bit setting.
I used process described by Koba on cdfreaks and my DVR-112d flashed to DVR-112L Buffalo rocks.
club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=216845
Do remember that if things go wrong you will end-up with a door stop.
P.S.
As a bonus you get RAM write capability and LabelFlash. I've tested RAM write and it works perfect, have not tested Labeling so not sure if it even works.
