Some info about the (new) specs would be also nice, if possible. ;)

...not really different to the Pio 110, so no need to buy it for Pio 110 users.
The only difference ist the case of the writer.....

DVR-111
http://www.fotop.net/jamesbond (Photo, uploaded)

Chipset: NEC 063645AGM
:?: Same with DVR-110 ? (110D)?

But i found loader base unit, not like DVR-110.
upper chassince is difference with dvr-110, to reduce noise vibration.

Thankyou james_hk but ALL those photos are rather small to see the proper details of the chipset. Could you please take photos with a better camera and/or higher resolution. Please also include a close-up of just the main NEC chip.

Good pictures similar to the CDRInfo Pioneer DVR-110D Review would be great.

But regardless, very interesting info if we can SEE it clearly for ourselves.
You say the DVR-111 (and/or D?) uses the NEC 063645AGM
The DVR-110 (and D) use the NEC D63645GM

I believe you made a typo with the 0 instead of D but the A means it is indeed a similar but nonetheless a DIFFERENT NEC chipset which would very much complicate matters from a firmware patcher's point of view.

Yeah...It's DVR-111, NOT DVR-111D

charaters on chips
NEC China (DVR-110: NEC Japan)
D63645AGM

When i get back my digital camera, i will snap AGAIN on HIGH RESOLUTION.

Once more, i uploaded another picture, it's capture from DVDINFO.
the DVDINFO will show up: READ/WRITE fetures... :-k

Fantastic james_hk I look forward to it
Feel free to use the [ Img ] button when making a post to put these very interesting pictures in your post. You can also get tips of how others do it in their posts by clicking the [ Quote ] button just to look at what is in there, but cancel afterwards to avoid making a post.

Another very useful tip is to save screenshots as PNG. It is LOSSLESS and often smaller than JPG.

Following pic thanks to james_hk

As I see, there is no objective reason to replace DVR-110 with this new DVR-111. The characteristics are almost identical.

Another thing is its working.
Now, for example, if it is working with CD formats better than DVR-110, then it is really worth buying instead. If the same, then no sense. I hope, they had improved its working with CDs. And left the DVDs working at the same level as DVR-110's (or upper ).

Will be awaiting reviews...
