:? Hello

I tried an other PC last night ....

First i ran DVRFlash alone an it answer me this :

Device : 1.0.0
Vendor : PIONEER
Model : DVD-RW DVR-110
Revision : 0000

Status : RPC-1 (Region free)

Device : D:
Vendor : PIONEER
Model : DVD-RW DVR-110
Revision : 0000

Status : RPC-1 (Region free)

Why two responses ?

Then i ran

C:\DVRFlash - f D: RB100011.122 RB100111.122

It says :

!Drive is in Kernel mode!

then it cannot succeed flashing my DVR110D

"could not send the flash command (Sense : 04 4C 01)"

Any suggestion to go out of that ????

Super7:

You currently have firrmware 1.03 installed. Are you trying to install a region free firwmare that is also 1.03?

See above, 1 is the LUN and 1 is the driveletter.

Please try to run an offical flasher package to get the drive back into normal mode.

Yup!
Why else should I flash and risk a fully functional drive?

Hello,
Still gambling with my near deas pioneer DVR110D
I've heard about this command line :

If DVRFlash freezes over a minute, at Switching to Kernel Mode, restart your Mac and repeat this procedure, but prior to flashing, use DVRFlash to force Kernel Mode. The line should appear as:

mymac:~/Desktop/PIONEER DVR-XXX myname$ ./DVRFlash -k "$DRIVE"

Then Re-enter the Flashing command. Note when Flashing from Kernel mode, you will be warned that the Firmware doesn't match. This is normal. Kernel Mode reports flash versions as all zeros. Be very sure in this case that you are installing the correct firmware for your drive!

Do you think it is possible ? waht i'llexpected of that ?

Thanks

ok but whats does mean "Please make sure that the firmware files are in the current directory or
use the proper path to the files."

and when i launch the exe file it says : "Now run DVDRFlash again. from the command prompt, using one of the device listed above as first parameter."

what is that means!

What is wrong with you?

You cannot even read and understand simple instructions coming with this great software and has nothing else to do than flaming because of your ignorancy?!?

Start with reading carefully!

Wow! Quite an amusing three posts in this topic from you bud.

DVRFlash is almost BULLETPROOF especially designed for %$#%$# like you.

You certainly get my vote for TOOL OF THE YEAR already!

To Agent Smith / LasVegas:
Please keep up the awesome work you do with your crossplatform DVRFlash.

There are some files included with the DVRFlash archive they are named README
And that is exactly what you need to do

Hi all,
I have a PowerBook G4.
The DVD Drive in it is: Matshita DVD-R UJ-825
This sounds like the right firmware to flash it with but I just wanted to confirm before applying it.

Can someone just confirm this is the right thing to flash my drive with so that it becomes region free.

If it's not, can someone point me in the right direction please.

Cheers mateys :)

This thread is about a flasher program for Pioneer firmwares and has nothing to do with your drive.

It's very simple bro

syntax on windows prompt:
dvrflash -vff d: RA153010.137 RA153110.137

where d: is your pioneer 110D drive

RA153010.137 is the kernel file
RA153110.137 is the firmware file

And the rest... follow the instruction ;)

note: first you must extract kernel & firmware file from official f/w .EXE

As with most command-line utilities, entering the command followed by "-h" or "-?" will display the command's proper syntax.

ok I tried because I have a problem upgrading mu dvr-107d firmware (1.12)

but I get this message:

Commandline:
C:\Documents and Settings\wilcox\Desktop\DVRFlash.exe f: R7100107.122

Drive Information:
Description : PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-107D
Firmware Rev : 1.12
Firmware Date : 04/03/09
Manufacturer : PIONEER
Drive is in normal mode.

Firmware and Drive type mismatch
If you want to convert your drive, you need to supply both Kernel and General

what can I do?

Well the problem is where could I find the correct firmware?

I tried the files I found on the pioneer site,
DVR107D_FW118.EXE
DVR107D_FW120.EXE
R107D_FW113EU.EXE

tried also those from http://pioneerdvd.rpc1.org/#PIONEER_DVR_IDE

I tried booting from the dos floppy you can download from the pioneer site, but dvr flash told me that i can't run in dos mode.....

If you want to flash the patched one from >NIL: (DVR107 v.1.21RPC1+12xRip+nx4all)

The right comandline is:
DVRFlash.exe f: R71000007.121 R7100107.121

What have you tried to flash with?

Your drive is SONY OEM.
