Good Morning/Guten Morgen.
I think you mean FAT not FAT 32!

Yeah, FAT, FAT16 or FAT32 is not the real problem here.
It's just that you cannot access NTFS partitions from FAT partitions without an extra special driver.

Some goods some bad news......
First I've got a good old PC which can easily boot on the the floppy given by "Puma UK"......
When booting it just says "No NTFS drive recognised.... exiting"
But .... when the boot is finihed i can go on c:/DOS easily.... as "LasVegas" suggests ....
(rep where i placed the DVRFlash and the two doc RB100011.122 RB100111.122..... and ADDDev.exe and aspi.sys.....)
When I use the IDEDIAG which is on the floppy, it says that there is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR 111 (0000) on the drive E:
then when igot on C/DOS and type "Adddev aspi.sys"
It says installed....at the end.
Then when i type "DVRFlash - v" (only that )
It says " No DVR drive detected"
I tried to make the flash "DVRFlash -f E: RB100011.122 RB100111.122"
But the flasher doesn't find E:
Some questions i have :
1/ when i boot (before any flash) the DVR110 has a front of "LED" which lights a bit during the first boot, that totally disappeard after thte "bad first flashing" how can i restore that ? is it possible ... What does that mean , isn't it the first thing to do to make a re flash ?
2/ the tray of the DVR110 doesn't open any more after the flashing ... as it was not connected ... is it normal ?
Thanks a lot....

So sorry......
I tried to have a boot disk as chief said ..... but.....
1/ Which image disk .... dos 5 ? dos 6? ..... of course it can boot (DOS 6 or 5) BUT i can't acces to c:.....if swap the floppy with DVRFlash then (a:).... after i activated Adddev .... all is right..... BUT when I type DVRFlash it says "NO DVR drive detected".....
2/When I boot on a Win Me image i can change and find the internal HD (c:) where i placed DVRFlash and the flashing files...RB.... but DVFlash don't find any drive any more.....
Can you describe me (thanks a lot) where i am wrong....and which files must be on each floppy (ie the flashing files can't be in ONE floppy because une file exceed 1.44M

Verify that your drive is only connected to the SECONDARY IDE PORT as MASTER with the 80 ide cable.

coyotte11,
Please, just try downloading DVRFlash for Win32 and double-click the DVRFlash.exe. If it reports seeing your drive, follow the included instructions to flash the drive from within Windows. It's so much easier that way.

Thanks a lot LasVegas...
I use a Windows 2000 SE
So....
I installed the DVR110 on the IDE, in Master...
I downlaod DVRFlash 2.2 win32 (60k) just now from your page....
Opened the ZIP on my desktop and create a new folder on the "C:"....
Then made a couble clic on DVRFlash ..... without the firmwares into this folder .....
Then the PC Freeze..... must make an Hard reboot.....
I tried the same manner in WIN/Dos :
Code: c:\DVRFlash\win32\DVRFLASH.exe
Re frozen.....
Is it usefull to try with the DVR110 in an external drive FW ? does it better ?

You could also try to flash your drive using DVRUpdate.

Hi
Since the release of DVRFlash, I've flashed a couple of DVR-K05 with success, until the present drive.
The latest K05 I tried to flash came out of a portable DVD+/-RW drive from Logitec, a Japanese vendor. The drive profile says it's a Pioneer DVR-K05, with firmware Rev1.03. When I tried to flash the drive with DVRFlash 2.2 and the DangerousBrothers rom, an error occured.
>Switching to Kernel mode
>Unsupported drive type LOGITEC
the additional drive info says the following
>Interface type : ATA
>DVR generation : 0066
>Kernel type: LOGITEC
>Normal type: LOGITEC
>Kernel version : 0004
I've tried to crossflash the firmware over to Pioneer's K05, but the genuine Pioneer flasher also refused to recognise the drive.
Any leeways?

You have tried with forceflash (-f) and superforce (-ff) options too?
Of course you need the kernelfile for this.

Chef, thanks for your help.
I had tried the forceflash which failed. After chef's advice, superfoce option was also applied, but without success for the moment. As for the kernel file, I think I've got the proper files. If my guess is right, T5100066.103 should be the kernel file and T5100166.103 the flash rom. Maybe the time isn't right yet *grin*
