Have tried both the TDBros RPC1 Cross822 and the new 1.44 RPC1 on my DVR-110D drive but it always reads the Booktype as DVD+R DL (of course I am using DVD+R DL discs) but I need them to be read as a DVD-ROM disc. Any clue? I have already used Nero to tell me the Booktype as well as the newest DVDInfoPro. - Thnx Phaze
P.S. I have also tryied unistalling the drive after flashing and reinstalling. Still no luck.

The only other DVD+/-R drive that I have does not support Dual Layer discs.

Was wondering if you only have to use the link from "RPC1 with Bitsetting firmware based on 1.22 (Synthesized from 8.22)." or does the (RPC1) v 1.41 (for DVR-110D) also have bitsetting/booktype incorporated into it?

only 1.22 or the buffalo releases, 1.41 is rpc1 only

Thnx 4 all the help. It seems the disc type never "states" that it changes when you insert the media but after it burns it and I put the dvd back in it stated that it was a "dvd-rom" Success on that point...now to get my backup to actually work...lol...Thanx [_chef_] and PumaUK

yup that's what happens the booktype is set when it burns, and if the software displays right, it will say DVDROM when its finished
