Yepp, that was me. But my Verbatim dvd-r 2x has a different media code, which wont work, despite Herrie Potter - The Wizard - tremendous efforts.  Still doesn't work with the new patch?
Send me the media code in a PM and I'll try to see what I can do

CMC MAG. = Maybe at 2x, not sure if it will work at all!

The CMC MAG. should work at 2x. I bought 10 verbatim 2x with that media code and all work fine.

hello thanks for the help now a can burn on may bulkdvd 4x in 2x but now a cant
burn on may 3tpro dvd-r recodes

Hi!
Thanks for all the good and hard work guys.
Now to my question. I'm thinking about ordering some DVD-R from bigpockets.co.uk. The discs I've been thinking about are Datasafe/Datawrite RED X4 and Bulkpaq Speed X4.
Which disc works best with the current firmware? Has anyone ordered any of these two discs and tried them with the new firmware?

I have not use "Advdinfo" to check the complete code, but the "dvdinfo" shows the discs are "CMC MA" and it is confirmed by the retailer as well. Btw, I use my nec drive externally through a usb 2.0 box not sure it may make any difference.

Someone who got bw could maybe put together a page with the different fw versions we have? and with all the media it "supports".
As I understand there are also "tailor" made fw versions that Herrie made which he only mailed directly to the person who requested it.
It would be nice to have page where everything is collected for future needs.

My old f/w contained some stupid mistakes which caused 2x media not to work anymore :'(
Going for a shower first, afterwards I'll post the firmware

I think that's an excellent idea. Maybe even with some pictures (if possible), since there are so many medias with similar names.

Every 2x and 4x media should work then!
