Hello and sorry for bothering you with what probably is a pretty easy question but I need to flash my NEC ND-4551A drive so I can burn DVD+R DL cd's, I've downloaded the firmware which is in .bin format but I have no clue how to apply it, I've googled for hours trying to find a flash utility etc but I can't find anything compatible with Windows XP.
Would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help me out!
(please keep the explanations somewhat simple since my computer skills are not too vast) :)

I found a firmware updater but when I run it I get the message Target NEC ND-4551A is not found correctly. :s

You don't need that really, the 4551 can burn DVD+R DL media by default.
What specific branded media you want to burn?
