This could all sound really stupid, but I'm just making sure I have the right idea.
I have a SD-2302, and need it to default in the slave position on boot. On Backfires page:

It has the firwares 1013 and 1713 listed, and 1713 is inverse CSEL. My drive currently has 1013. Would flashing it with 1713 work?
In brackets on the side of the page is says "FOR DRIVES WITH 17XX FIRMWARE ONLY!" so that's why i'm making sure.

You can flash the drive with 1713.
This will change the drives settings from CSEL to inverse CSEL!
