I have a Sony CRX830E (a rebadged LiteOn LSC-24082K). I tried to CrossFlash the drive and have killed it. Before I trashed it, I took a backup of the EPROM using both the Flash utility and the EEPROM utility from Codeguys.

Is it at all possible to re-flash the drive with my backup?

yeah, use mtkflash via dos
