I have a Memorex:

Model: DVD+/-DLRWL16 D2-15
Part Number: 3202-3292
Manufactured Date: March 2005

I did a search and found these links:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=38739&hilit=3202+3292 (Different model number, but same part number).

http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/NEC-ND-3520A/ (Link found in the above topic).

http://www.memorex.com/archives/discont ... .php?p=872 (Link to firmware on Memorex.com).

My model number isn't listed on the Memorex firmware page, but the part number is, and even if it was listed, the various firmware versions there are around four years old.

So, my questions is what firmware and flash tool do I need, and where can I get them? I want to make sure I use the right ones.

Why do you think your would need a firmware & flasher for your drive?

Does it not work??

If you want to crossflash then just follow the links you already posted, you will find all things there.

I'm getting power calibration errors, and the drive cannot read some DVDs, but they work in other computers. It's probably caused by dust, but I want to try upgrading the firmware before taking the drive apart and cleaning the laser.

The drive does not work. I haven't flashed it yet. I wanted to make sure I chose the right firmware.

I'm not sure which one to choose. I thought since mine had a different model number but the same part number, I would need to use a different one.

You give confusing answers, first you say it has reading problems and then it does not work.
It can be only the one or the other.Either a drive does not work or does, even if it hs issues.

Follow the links you linked to and follow Liggy's advice please.
Create a firmware backup first (using binflash) and disable the other optical drive!!!

It reads some discs.
It won't burn any.

You get Power calibration errors because of unsuitable media used.
