Hi,
I have a SONY DRU-815A LightScribe DVDRW Drive, it's a PBDS OEM product and based on Philips chipset, and I want to have its firmware backuped. But I couldn't find any FLASHER to backup a Philips chipset drives firmware, so who can please tell me about the software for backing up a Philips chipset drives firmware? I know the backuped file is .cvt format.

Thanks, I turned to it and found BENQCVT, but the flasher is seemed like no such function to extract firmware from Philips chipset based drives...... just no such command line, it's a DOS program.

I think you will not be able to extract that without extra freaky hardware.
