How can I make the region selector free? Do I have to change the firmware? Where can I find it? Thanks

I'm disgusted because i didn't know it would be that hard to get a RPC1 firmware for this player... Can someone help us ???

I am another sad individual who bought this drive and cannot find a hack to make it region free. This explains why all the pioneer drives had sold out!!! I wanted to add my name to this post so, hopefully, the guys who run this site might produce a hack for us. I have searched the web for a number of days now and most (if not all) hack sites lead back to this one. HELP!?

In the hope that change can be affected by sheer weight of numbers, I'm going to add to this list. I didn't realise I was buying an awkward drive, and am esp [*oops*] because I asked for multi region when I got the computer built. Let's hope we can fix it before Ebay run out of those region 1 Akira DVD sets, eh

I add my name also to this list. Bought GD-8000 and after few hours searching firmware
I+m now pretty [*oops*] off..
I really can+t understand how there is no firmware availabe, even drive has been
in market quite a long time.

I guess this is Chinees product if no region selection. [color]astigmatism
